I have always enjoyed learning various art forms, whether it be textile (sewing/quilting/needlework) or paint mediums.  While studying with Jean Ranstrom, I learned my favorite paint mediums are oil-based and pastel; I also enjoy mixed-media using pastel with gouache.  Natural elements such as birds, butterflies, flowers and water/landscapes are my favorite subjects.  I love saturated color, so expect brighter/brilliant colors in most of my paintings.  I enjoy exploring various techniques and surfaces on which to paint.  I enjoy bringing my vision to the canvas and desire to grow as an artist!
